What is Pilates?

Pilates is a type of exercise which incorporates strength, stability and flexibility. It is known as the art of controlled movement, this means it focuses on the quality of movement and correct muscle activation. This allows the body to move in the optimal way and is ideal for rehabilitation from most injuries.

Why should I do Pilates?

Why are we different?

All of our classes are run by qualified physiotherapists who have extensive knowledge of Pilates and your specific injury/issue. Our physiotherapists are movement specialists who have been trained in Pilates rehabilitation and will prescribe specific exercises to assist you with your individual problem. We have small class sizes (5 max) and use a variety of methods during our classes to get the most benefit and keep the classes interesting. We use a circuit style class, alternating from mat work to reformer to swiss ball.
