Chiropractic is a form of manual therapy involving soft tissue work, mobilisations, manipulations, dry needling, and rehabilitation. All Chiropractors in Australia are required to complete a 5 year University degree, they are required to be registered with AHPRA and covered by all health funds.

Your First Treatment

During your first consultation, one of our experienced Health Space Chiropractors will record your complete history and run a number of tests and scans to identify the cause of your symptoms. Following this, you will be presented with a Report of Findings and diagnosis. In the following consultations, our Chiropractor will carry out a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and may provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.

Chiropractic Techniques

The majority of chiropractic adjustments involve manipulation. Manipulation involves applying a gentle manual force to a joint.

This will ultimately help increase your joint movement, help restore your joint to its proper function, relieve pain, and prevent the re-occurrence of injuries.
Non-manipulative techniques are an alternative option to traditional manipulative practices. At Health Space, our wide varieties of non-manipulative techniques use alternative tools to help adjust your joints.

Our non-manipulative techniques are not only gentler than manipulative techniques, but they are also suitable for all ages and achieve great results.
Kinesiology is a muscle-testing technique that is usually combined with chiropractic adjustments. Here at Health Space our use of Kinesiology techniques allows for a holistic approach to your chiropractic treatment looking at your body from all areas including its nutrition, physical form, and mentality.
Soft tissue
Busy lifestyles and increased sitting and lifting tend to put a lot of extra stress on the body, muscles begin to work overtime and can become tired, tight and sore. At Health Space, our soft tissue techniques aim to relieve this stress, helping your body return to normal as soon as possible.

Our soft tissue techniques focus on trigger-point therapy and active releases. They are performed either before adjustments to release chronically tight muscles so they adjust easier, or they will be done after adjustments to release any residual tightness.
Finding the cause of your problem and treating it is only the first step of a Chiropractic consult, sometimes injuries will need constant work to bring your body back to normal.
