A keen recreational long distance runner with over a dozen marathons under his belt, Darrin is passionate about sports rehabilitation and helping clients fulfil their goals and potential. Whether it is fixing a sporting injury, maintenance for optimum performance alleviating pain and discomfort, or just to relax tired muscles, Darrin uses a variety of techniques (such as deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, tuina (Chinese remedial), cupping, guasha (Chinese spoon scraping) and therapeutic Swedish massage) In order to treat clients.
Darrin was born in Geelong, Victoria, moved to Melbourne in his twenties, and later, because of the weather, migrated to Sydney in 2004. He’s passionate about healthy food and holds a certificate in nutrition and naturopathy. In his spare time he can often be seen running around centennial park training for the next marathon. Darrin supports local farmers markets and is passionate about in-season and sustainable produce.
Darrin has studied various massage techniques with Nature Care College (Swedish), Certificate IV in Therapeutic Massage and Diploma of Remedial Massage (both Endeavour College of Natural Health) and Tuina Chinese Remedial as part of Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which he is half way through completing at UTS.
With his own personal experience and ongoing training, his goal is to offer an individually tailored treatment to suit everyone’s needs. Darrin is committed to helping others with what he has been helped with in the past to achieve fitness and sporting goals and to be discomfort free in your every day lives.
