Rachel is a very well-known, respected and popular Acupuncturist and Herbalist on the Northern Beaches who has been in practice over 10 years. During this time she has helped thousands of people in private practice seeking help with painful conditions, women’s health, fertility and pregnancy support, stress and anxiety. Known for her genuine and caring nature, she also offers community acupuncture to the chronically ill, elderly, single mothers, mentally ill, unemployed or those in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. These patients would otherwise be unable to afford this type of holistic treatment and healing, which is why she makes it accessible to them.
Rachel has also been an active "Surfing Mums" Group Coordinator for over 7 years, and is now on the committee board of "Surfing Mums Incorporated". This is a network of groups nationwide created to encourage mums who love to surf to connect and form close knit bonds. They meet regularly for surf swaps and provide essential health and mental wellbeing support during the post natal period. These positive tribes of women assist each other in times of real emotional need, helping members to be social and stay mentally and physically fit whilst enjoying activities they love.
Rachel's Surfing Mums team in the "Northern Beaches Lifeline Classic" competition for the last 4 years have raised over $18,000 for Lifeline including running wellness and child friendly events, and organising various raffles.
Rachel is genuinely passionate about raising awareness of post natal depression and anxiety, particularly focusing on reducing the alarming rate of suicide on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Her constant work with the "Surfing Mums" and fundraising is a great representation of this. She also is the first to volunteer organising gift vouchers or her services for local community group fundraisers and events such as "Fight For The Beaches", "One Eighty" gala dinners and the "Black Dog Institute", “coastrek” and “Blast off” just to name a few.
In 2019 Rachel teamed up with a local yoga teacher creating the innovative "Yoga Pins" affordable workshops which include yoga, acupressure massage, meditation, breath work and acupuncture treatment. These have quickly become very popular and sort after in our local community.
Rachel is available at our Mona Vale and Brookvale clinics.
