Shan is driven to help her clients achieve their goals through individually tailored treatments that encompass various aspects of health & wellbeing.
Shan is a Remedial and Sports massage therapist who treats musculoskeletal pain and injury, both acute and chronic.She uses a systematic approach to assess muscular skeletal problems tracing them back to there origin, to treat the cause of the disorder as well as the symptoms, eliminating pain and restoring function.
Shan strongly encourages body awareness and self-treatment. She often prescribes stretching techniques and corrective exercises to be used outside the clinic to assist in correcting muscle imbalances, maintaining flexibility and increasing joint range of motion.
Shan is a member of The Australian Natural Therapies Association. She completed her certificate IV in Massage Therapy and Diploma of Remedial Massage at Gosford Tafe having graduated in December 2017 and also holds a certificate in IV in Allied Health. She recently completed a Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioners course and is currently studying to be a Life Coach as well.
Shan has trained and worked in Elite Sports Massage having subcontracted for Julia Russle where she has treated meany athletes in NRL and Australian national Rugby Union teams. She has been a qualified Pilates instructor for over ten years and has a passion for clinical pilates. Shan worked as a physiotherapy assistant during her training she gravitated towards clinical pilates, hydro therapy and corrective exercise.
Ever since a young age Shan has had a sporting background where she has competed in many sports including Softball,Touch football, Oz Tag, Gymnastics and she has also represented Sydney City in Netball. She now enjoys taking regular Pilates classes, running and swimming.
