Michael has worked in the Health and Fitness Industry for the last decade. He was introduced to Kinesiology through the Holistic Life Coaching course, under American Kinesiologist Paul CHEK (of the C.H.E.K Institute). Since then Michael has been fascinated with how the Mind and Body are affected by environment, and in particular, by stress and trauma.
Having worked with hundreds of individuals to help them achieve their goals, Michael wanted to reach deeper understanding of those with chronic and often misunderstood reactions to stress and stressful events. Seeing Kinesiology as the psychology of the whole being and its expression through movement he completed his Diploma in Kinesiology and Diploma of Mind Body Medicine. Michael is currently completing his Advance Diploma in Integrative and Complementary Medicine and has a special interest in Psychology and Neurology and how it relates to health.
Using his extensive knowledge in Health and Fitness, combined with an understanding of possible neurological reactions to external and internal influences, Michael hopes to help clients find an understanding to their conditions and in doing so work with them to bring about a positive health outcome.
Typical conditions commonly addressed using Kinesiology are structural balancing, back pain, knee/other joint pain, Emotional disturbances including grief, loss, anger and obsessive behaviours. Anxiety and depression. Tightness in muscles and joints causing restricted movement or pain. Headaches, migraines, learning difficulties, difficulty concentrating, ringing in the ears. Bloating, poor digestion and bowel issues/irritation. Menstrual issues, including moodiness, pain, and fertility. Sexual issues, impotence, other dysfunctions.
