Georgia Fong

Georgia Fong - Health Space Clinics

Georgia graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner, and uses a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, moxa, cupping and Chinese medicine dietary advice in her treatments to help patients achieve their personal health goals. She is passionate about Chinese Medicine and the overall therapeutic benefits that can be achieved through restoring balance in the mind and body.

Throughout her 4-year degree, her desire to increase her knowledge gave her the opportunity to complete a clinical placement at Concord Hospital, specifically working with cancer patients under the supervision of Professor Byeongsang Oh. This program worked alongside the patient’s usual chemotherapy or radiotherapy care by using acupuncture to increase the patient’s quality of life, whilst relaxing the muscles and sinews to decrease and manage their pain. Furthermore, her university studies enabled her to travel to China to intern and study at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and the Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinic.

Having grown up dancing, Georgia’s love for ballet took her around the world performing and at the age of 16 she was offered a position to train at the Ballett-Akademie Hochschule fur Musik und Theater, Munich. It was through these years of dance where she grew to understand and become familiar with the way the body and mind are supposed to feel when they are in good health, but also the feeling when there is internal disharmony, imbalance, injury or fatigue. It was from her own experience of seeking out a holistic treatment where her passion for healing others and interest in alternative medicine began to flourish.

Georgia is interested in treating a variety of different areas of health, including musculoskeletal conditions involving pain management and recovery, women’s health, digestive disorders and overall general wellbeing. She looks forward to working with her patients and respecting all aspects of mind, body and soul to help them achieve their health goals.
