We asked John some questions to get a feel about how he sees chiropractic fitting into your healthcare needs: 1. How did you become the practitioner you are today? I was born into a chiropractic family, so over the years I saw a number of people with problems that were supposedly not curable, helped with chiropractic. From the young and the old – a consistent message was that chiropractic worked, and that it made a difference to peoples’ lives. I saw that people who looked after their health from a young age had much better health and enjoyment in life as older people. 2. What influences your health and healing? While everyone is different, I have had the experience of seeing patients who have had chiropractic adjustments for over 50yrs. These people are generally healthier, more active, and enjoy older age better than those who haven’t. With this experience, I place a great emphasis on looking after children as they grow into adulthood. If you can look after their health problems when they are young, that sets them up for better health as an adult. 3. What kind of people/conditions can you assist with? Having worked in a country practice, I have seen a lot of different things. I have also had the luxury of working at an elite athletic level in a number of International Competition events. So, in true country fashion, I like to help most people with their problems. If I don’t think I can, then I will refer them to where they best need to be.Dr John Welsh - Chiropractor Availability: Lane Cove Ph: (02) 9418 9555
