Interview with Marcus Kain from F45 Coogee

Interview with Marcus Kain from F45 Coogee

What is F45 all about?

F45 Coogee is a fast-paced studio located directly beneath the Beach Club on Dolphin Street Coogee. Classes run for 45 mins each and are a mixture of both strength specific and cardio based sessions. Each day’s sessions are different, so members are constantly challenged during their workout.

Do you need to be a fitness freak to join?  Who are your ideal clients and why?

By no means do you need to have a previous fitness base. Each member determines how hard they need to push themselves in order to reach their desired goals. Stations are individual so there is no need for members to feel they are holding another member back. Our trainers are very experienced in motivating those members that need pushing as well as watching correct lifting techniques. Ideally, we cater from teenagers through to the mature age person.

What time are the classes at F45 Coogee?

Classes run every day of the week starting at 5am on weekdays. We then commence again in the afternoons from 5pm. Weekends, we run from 6am on Saturdays and 8 am on Sundays. A full class schedule is available on our website.

What inspired you to become a trainer?

From a young age, I was always into my sports. As I grew up, I realised how much I enjoyed talking to people and motivating others. This led me to team sports and more recently into the gym here at F45 Coogee.

What are your 3 best health tips?

  1. Be consistent with your training
  2. Make the correct nutrition choices
  3. Always recover your body adequately
